Ticino - Day 3

Monday morning we headed out for a boat ride to a stunning little island - used to be someone's home - with a botanical garden, which was absolutely gorgeous..

Reagan and kids on a leisurely morning stroll along the wharf - at 9:58am and the boat left in 2 minutes!:)

We're off and away! Raphael and two munchkins!
Ascona - where we came back for lunch after the tour of the island.

Back at Ascona for lunch and a stroll around. Our Restaurant: Easy 7 - the name sounded good, since we had 6 kids, 6 and under!:)
Terrifically swanky inside! Orchid arrangements on the table and everything! I'd like to hire out the interior designer of this place.(I'm sure I couldn't afford it.:)) The pasta tasted homemade - the best pasta I've eaten at a restaurant..


We discovered a park!



These photos are of our trip home through 2 more mountain passes - these people lived way up in these mountains and were taking their cows across the road to milk. I believe the cabin in the background is where they live. Notice the bells on the cow's necks. The sound of them ringing on the Swiss mountainside is like no other...

We drove through a downpour and the sun came out - there were 3 rainbows and the view was most magnificant..! Double click on the pictures for a larger view.

The rock in this mountain pass was beautiful after the rain - green and purple, but didn't capture it very well.
