Winter Wear.

With long, cold winters like we have, it sure helps to have a cute pair of boots to 'warm' up! ;o)

(I'm sure most of you won't be interested - just put this on for my Sis en Suisse!)

Christmas in Cranbook!

We decided kinda last minute, to go out to BC for the holidays, and we were very glad we went!
Grandpa Jim and Grandma Alice Anne spoiled on us (of course), and it was a delightful holiday!

Some X-country skiing in G&G's field!
Sledding!

More sledding! Our kids had such a great time with all their cousins..! Only problem was that it went by to quickly!

Our dear and good friend Marcy!
More cross-country skiing - beautiful!

Christmas eve at Ryan and Verena's! (Spent the afternoon swimming first.) The kids decorated cookies!
Ryan showed us a wild sledding hill!
Some of Verena's pretty decorations! (Jen, Marisa, Alice Anne with Maylyn and the backside of Verena - the busy hostess!) :0)

Skating in Cranbrook! (Emarie was there too but didn't get photos of her for some reason!)
Maylyn and Emarie doing what girls do best!

Random December Business

Fun with Auntie Dee! Sorry - they're fuzzy..! Wish I had taken some of our other specials company too..

Visit from Auntie Ash and Zozo! We even managed to keep them for a couple days!

Some Entertainment for Our Swiss Cousins!

Here is Dylan playing 'Jolly 'ol Saint Nicolas' for the piano recital. It's his first time playing in front of a crowd and I thought he did pretty well! (Sorry - some of you may have to scroll down to turn the music off..)

Here is the entertainment part...! Dylan composed a song - 'The Knights Go Marching' and here he is teaching it to Emarie!:)

This is the song on paper. (Don't ask me why he decided to write his C's backwards - he does know better..!)

A Little X-Country!

There are a few reasons for why I love cross country skiing.. It's quiet. It's free. It's a great workout. It's relatively safe. And it's a great family outing. This weekend we went three times! Around the yard - getting the kids going. Saturday evening, and then Sunday afternoon! It was a wee bit chilly, but the kids did very well! And of course the scenery was stunning!;0)

This is something I've never seen before, ever. Snow draped like a garland! No branches holding it up! It was happening in quite a few places along the trail!

Dilly Boy, at the head of the pack!
Big grins from Daddy Bear - who was, in fact, enjoying himself!

Sister Bear! (In her clashing outfit!)
Little Jude got a little chilly but warmed up on Chai Latte and peanut butter cookies!
Thought I'd throw this one in, even tho it's so dark. I love how the sun looks!

Hoar Frost #2

...this stuff just makes everything in our yard look so pretty that I get a little carried away with the photos..! These first two shots however, were from our kitchen window yesterday morning (around 8:00am). It's times like this when I think, "Wow I'm living in a beautiful country!"

Mr. Proactive.

This here post is for Auntie Julie and Auntie Ash, who wanted to see Dilly boy get his award. His teacher said he is a responsible student and does what he's supposed to, even when no one is looking! (Must get that from his mother! Haha!)

Hoar Frost #1

..drops of dew frozen into stunning white crystals, creates one of the most beautiful sights!
