Ticino - Day 2

After Sunday morning mtg. (in Italian), we went for a tour of one of the three castles there..

Lovely architecture.

Inside castle - looking out.

A real old door!
Stunning arches..
Wouldn't you just love to have a house like this...!?
The third and highest castle - as seen from Carlo and Mary Helen's place. We spent Saturday evening and Sunday with them. We had terrific meals and a swim or two or three, enjoyed the turtles and relaxed in the heat! Wonderful, hospitable folks..
A vine - bougainvillea or some species related..?
Beautiful backyard..

Mumsy.
Julie and Kayla.
Mr. Turtle. He's one year old. They have about 17 bigger turtles and a few just days old, but the coolest ones were just out of their shell - in the incubation box. So tiny! Carlo is a vet and his favorite animal is, yes, the turtle!
Their table top was made from the end of a wine barrel - 150years old...Quite a big barrel it must have been!
Nevio(sp?), their youngest, showing us his tricks!
As always, Dylan with a G.U.N.!
Watching the turtles!
Julie and Mary Helen..
Carlo!
Nevio and his oboe!
Emarie sharing a room in the hotel with Grandma! It was pink!

I was going to say "gorgeous pic of the girls watching the turtles!" - but looks like someone else has beaten me to it! :-)
