There are a few reasons for why I love cross country skiing.. It's quiet. It's free. It's a great workout. It's relatively safe. And it's a great family outing. This weekend we went three times! Around the yard - getting the kids going. Saturday evening, and then Sunday afternoon! It was a wee bit chilly, but the kids did very well! And of course the scenery was stunning!;0)
This is something I've never seen before, ever. Snow draped like a garland! No branches holding it up! It was happening in quite a few places along the trail!

Gorgeous photos as usual! Did you really carry that heavy camera all the way? Sure would be fun to x-country with you all sometime.
What a fun family outing. Good on you for getting out and enjoying yourselves. I'm sure it is a big effort getting all geared up. The kids did well. That's a great pack you've got for Jude.
Yes, I did carry the heavy camera with me, but it was worth it - and we really weren't going very fast!:) Do come visit for winter and we'll go!
